March 2026
March 1st: 2026 Spring Niagara Model Railway ShowThe Niagara Model Railway Show returns on Sunday March 1st, 2026. Vendors from across Ontario offering model trains and supplies, railway memorabelia, and railway history displays. N scale layout, as well as a Lego train display for the kids. Food and drinks available.
May 2026
May 9th to October 3rd: 2026 Operating HoursThe Niagara Railway Museum will be open Saturdays from May 9th to October 3rd, 10am to 2pm, rain or shine. Admission is by donation. This is in addition to all event weekends held in May, July and September.
May 9th to May 10th: 2026 Opening weekend
Opening weekend for the Museum for 2026 will be on May 9th & 10th from 10am to 4pm both days. Lots of new and updated displays as the NRM opens for the 2026 season. Steam, diesel and electric locomotives, track maintenance equipment, model train layouts and artifact displays. See the difference between a coal fired steam engine and a fireless steam locomotive. Lots to see and do. All funds raised at this event allow the NRM to function and improve for years to come. Contact the NRM for more information.
July 2026
July 11th to July 12th: NRM July Open WeekendThe second open weekend of 2026 will be held July 11th & 12th from 10am to 4pm both days. Lots of new and updated displays to see this year. Steam, diesel and electric locomotives, track maintenance equipment, model train layouts and artifact displays. Hands on activities, and kids play area. See the difference between a coal fired steam engine and a fireless steam locomotive. Lots to see and do. All funds raised at this event allow the NRM to function and improve for years to come.
September 2026
September 12th to September 13th: Rail Days 2026Rail Days returns on September 12th & 13th, from 10am to 4pm both days. Lots of new and updated displays to see. Steam, diesel and electric locomotives, track maintenance equipment, model train layouts and artifact displays. Lots of new additions and still more to announce as the time gets closer.
